Vonnegut
Never having read Kurt Vonnegut myself, this essay, which the president of my organization passed around today, was a great introduction. In honor of the author, who passed away a couple days ago, read this: http://instruct.westvalley.edu/lafave/hb.html.
Pour yourself a drink. I like to drink something when I read, and I think you might as well. Call it sort of a "comfort drink" - anything with a familiar taste that invokes warm memories. I have that with strong black coffee, herbal tea, German beer or spanish wine. Go ahead - the blog will still be here when you get back. I think it will make your reading more enjoyable.
Whatever you drink, I'm flattered that you would take time to read my blog. I am attempting to explore the life around me as honestly as I possibly can. I hope you'll join me, and I would love to hear your thoughts. Un till then, enjoy your drink.
